The Historic Holly Theatre is excited to announce auditions for all roles in The Little Red Hen 
PRODUCTION TEAM:
Director: Halli Rider

This family-friendly play follows a young hen, called Red, on her adventures with her barnyard friends. One day, she stumbles upon a wheat field and gets an idea to make bread. Red decides to ask her friends if they would like to help in her baking process. Will they help the little red hen? Or will they turn away her offer for their own self-interest?

Roles available for performers ages 8-18. 

This play runs approximately 30 minutes in length. It is perfect for performers of all experience levels, so please don’t be afraid to have your little one join us for their first time on stage. 
AUDITIONS:
Saturday, September 21st,11 am - 1 pm
The Holly Theatre Black Box, 69 W Main St, Dahlonega, GA 30533 (downstairs area of our main theatre)
Performances:
November 8-10
Friday and Saturday night at 7 pm, Sunday matinee at 2 p
Rehearsals
Thursdays, 5-7:30 pm
Saturdays, 3-6 pm

What to expect at auditions:
  • ● Auditions will take place from 11 am-1 pm. Please plan for your student to arrive at 11 am and stay the whole time, as they will work through reading, movement, fun, and games. It is possible they will be released early, but not guaranteed. 
    ● Your student will need to prepare a 60 second monologue of your choice. It can be funny, serious, or both. 
    ● Please have your student wear all black to the audition. If they do not have all black, make sure they wear something they can move comfortably in. 
    ● If you cannot attend the audition date in person, please contact the director to schedule a separate time or arrange a video audition.
    ● If the audition slots are full at the time of your sign up, please contact the director to arrange a video audition.
The Little Red Hen Character Breakdown
● RED (F): A young hen who knows what she wants, and works hard.
● ROO (M): A cocky rooster who loves when the sun rises and has a kind heart.
● MAX (M)): A happy dog who cannot stay focused, but means well.
● HAMLET (M): An old pig who believes he is above all of the other animals.
● CLARIBELL (F): A dainty cow that doesn’t like to get her hooves dirty.
