Dickens has promised his children that on Christmas Day the family will act out his first ever Christmas story. However, it’s Christmas Eve, and he has writer’s block. His crusty British butler and witty Irish nanny comically steal bits of each other's past to help Dickens complete his story just in time for an Act II performance of A Christmas Carol!
(Roles may be double cast)
There will be a cold reading. Please be prepared to sing 16 measures of an a cappella Christmas song of your choice. Resumes and headshots are appreciated but not required. Auditions are on the Main Stage. No appointment necessary.
We will be casting for British Butler, Irish Nanny, Charles Dickens, Mrs. Dickens and their children. And, of course, Ebenezer Scrooge and the characters of "A Christmas Carol". See below for full cast list.
Carolers will also be needed! The audience will be greeted with Christmas songs as they arrive at the Holly Theater. Carolers will also appear in the production. (They drive the Butler crazy!)
