 Benny has been extremely active at The Holly Theatre and at other theaters in the local area for many years. Roles include Joe in Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Jr. at the Holly in the Fall of 2007, Zeke in High School Musical in the Summer of 2007, and many leading roles in mainstage shows at the Holly and at Lumpkin County High School. Benny has also interned in the box office at The Holly Theatre.
Benny is 15 years old and was the "Conjunction Junction" soloist for the 2008 Holly Children's Theatre Competition Team, which WON FIRST PLACE at The National Performing Arts Festival in DisneyWorld in January. Benny won an individual award for his overall performance in this team performance of "Schoolhouse Rock" at the competition and he also won the Male Soloist award for his performance of "Moving Too Fast" at the festival, adjudicated by Disney clinician Amy Martin Cole (also earning a "Superior" ranking for this solo performance). Benny is also thrilled to be playing Seymour in "Little Shop of Horrors" at LCHS this Spring.
