On Stage

The Holly Theatre offers a wide variety of entertainment. From children's theatre, to old favorites from Broadway, some of the most modern, sophisticated dramas--the Holly significantly raises the EQ (Entertainment Quotient) in North Georgia.

OUR NEXT PRODUCTION :

   THE HOLIDAY MUSICAL
  1940sradiohour1

Book by Walton Jones. Based on an idea by Walton Jones and Carol Lees. Music by various composers.

A different time is evoked in this marvelously theatrical and winning show, a live broadcast of a The Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade from the Hotel Astor's Algonquin Room on December 21, 1942. The spirit of that bygone era when the world was at war and pop music meant "Strike Up the Band" and "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" is accurately captured as the harassed producer copes with a drunk lead singer, the delivery boy who wants a chance in front of the mike, the second banana who dreams of singing a ballad, and the trumpet player  man who chooses a fighter plane over Glenn Miller.

How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying - April 2008

pressoneweb

Power, lust, ambition, greed... it's just another day at the office.

From the authors of “Guys And Dolls” comes one of the most delightfully irreverent musicals of all time. A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying” follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook called "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant "company man," the boss' whiny, nepotistic nephew, the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love.

Guaranteed to appeal to anyone who has ever worked in an office, the show boasts quirky, memorable characters; a catchy, witty score that's bright and brassy played by a live band, and featured the finest karlaperformers in the North Georgia Region.
Tickets are now on sale.  HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING opens on April 4th and continues through April 20, 2008.  Show times are Thursday – Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are $18 for adults, $17 for senior citizens and $12 for students.  $2 of every ticket sale goes to the Historic Holly Theatre Building Fund.  HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, is sponsored by North Georgia Wealth Management and Co-Sponsored by Gee’s Furniture.
