Ages 05-07: Creative Theatre - Big River Theme

Creative Theatre: Big River Theme (Ages 5-7)

June 2 to 6, 1:00pm - 4:00pm 

In this class, young thespians prepare a mini show for parents and friends for the last day of class that is Big River theme, echoing our Summer Mainstage musical, Big River, at the Holly. With a backdrop of the adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the children will get a chance to meet cast members and/or crew members of this show, see the costumes from the show, learn about the set from the show, and then create their own mini rendition of the show or a number within it.The focus of this class is NOT on performance, but rather on the imaginative play that this age group learns so much from! 

Theatre games, dress-up time, craft time, guest presentations for children,and snack time make up about half of the class time, and a little less than half of the class time is designated to "rehearsal." All students are given two lines, if they want them, for the final show, and participate in a group dance and song.

A non-refundable $50 deposit is required to register for this camp and the balance is due anytime before June 2.
