Ages 03-05: Big River Camp

Big River Camp (Ages 3-5)

June 2 to 6; 9:00am - 12:00pm 

In this class, our youngest thespians prepare a mini show for parents and friends for the last day of class that is Big River theme, echoing our Summer Mainstage musical, Big River, at the Holly. With a backdrop of the adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the children will get a chance to meet cast members and/or crew members of this show, see the costumes from the show, learn about the set from the show, and then create their own mini rendition of the show or a number within it. The focus of this class is not on performance, but rather on the imaginative play from which this age group learns so much!

Theatre games, dress-up time, craft time, guest presentations for children,and snack time make up the majority of class time, while each day a small amount of time is designated to "rehearsal." All students are given one line, if they want one, for the final show, and participate in a group dance and song.

A non-refundable $50 deposit is required to register for this camp and the balance is due anytime before June 2.
