Dear Edwina Jr! Performance Camp (Ages 6-12)
Dates: June 15- 26 9am-3pm; With Final Public Performance on Holly MainStage: June 26-27
In this production themed camp, students will work side-by-side with seasoned actors, directors, & choreographers to build the final production - DEAR EDWINA JR!
Follow the adventures of advice- giver extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple as she directs the kids in the neighborhood in production number after hilarious production number in her "Advice-A-Palooza" extravaganza.
Themes/Issues Explored: Table Manners, Saving Money, Sibling Rivalry, Foods You Don't Like, Tolerance, Making New Friends, Believing in Yourself.
Auditions are the first day of camp & every child will get a role. While this is a performance camp, the emphasis will still be on the learning process rather than the final product.
Student will be divided into groups for acting, music, & dance study & will spend the rest of their time in rehearsal for the show. Students will be their own technical directors, working on such things as; props, costumes, and scenic design. Snacks will be provided & there will be a lunch break midday where students will eat lunches packed from home.
